No Peace

Sean Bell is dead. That is a truth. He was a Black Man, another truth. He was not a real man, the total truth.

Never, with the exception of Amadou Diallo , shot 41 times to Sean Bells 50, has there been a more flagrant abortion of justice than this. Abortion of justice ,not miscarriage. The acquittal sends a wonderful message, the same one sent by the murderers of Emmit Till.

Black men are fair game.

There wasn’t any probable cause for an officer to empty his gun, reload and shoot 31 times. There was no weapon found, no crime committed, no outstanding warrants, just the attitude of Guzman, who was shot only 16 times, was wrong a la Emmet Till.

Both Barack Obama and Mayor Bloomberg initially said this was excessive force. After the verdict of course justice had been done, again. It must be hard to tow the party line when at least one of them should know better, but then, maybe not. The feds are “looking into this case”. But the verdict is clear, they did nothing wrong, those fine officers.

The judge did point out the demeanor of the witnesses and the motive to lie. How does one lie about 50 shots fired? Excessive, no that was about right. Perhaps 100 would have been excessive, but it was never mentioned.

There was a time in America when a Black man had to wear a sign that said,

I AM A MAN.

It appears this would be a good time for the sign companies to shore up there business.

We live in a country that embraces equality for “all”. If Sean Bell had been John Peterman it would not have happened. We are a nation of laws and “justice”, right?

Sean Bell was a target from the day he was born. He was born into a country that devalued his humaness. A country that only as of late decided he didn’t have a tail . A country that still maintains that he is 3/5 human.

The verdict shows us that there is an unprecedented mindset among both black and white with regard to this travesty of “justice”. The thinking is black people can not be trusted to be viable witnesses to an event.

Well that part is true. After all black people have no eyes, lower IQs, see “The Bell Curve”, and just lie for the sheer joy of lying as soon as they are in court.

It is how they are perceived . It is what they do. It is what is believed.

The prosecution failed to show proof. The witnesses were not reliable nor were they credible. Not one mention of 50 bullets or 31 bullets or unarmed victims. The witnesses didn’t have the right attitude either, one might gather, or as one lawyer said. Neither did Emmet Till. His alleged crime was whistling at a white woman. His punishment? Death.

These men were in a car, and their crime was at 4 AM they came out of a strip club and ran into a van. One was having a bachlor’s night out because he was to be married that morning. Sean Bell. His punishment?, Death.

Two years later , 50 bullets later, 50 witnesses with attitude later, he should have been able to rest in peace. But he can’t, he won’t. As long as we allow innocent men to be killed and our system upholds it….

There can be no peace.
