John McCain is smart. By apologizing to everyone about Cunningham’s ridiculous comments, he endeared himself to the independents and democrats that do not want Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.
Today the Conservative talk radio shows went to work…on McCain.
Anyone with a brain and has been in America more than ten minutes realizes that anything GOP is anathema. So enter the kinder, more dignified McCain. A marked contrast to all things Grand Old Party.

Now isn’t it convenient that he alienates the conservatives and/or they don’t like him?

Hillary is a woman, the “old boy ” mentality will not want to fight a woman so man to man , so to speak, the contest changes course or so the pundits would have us believe. Obama and McCain exchange pleasantries about Iraq and Al qaeda.
We are told that the race is so close it hinges on two states?Well if that is the case, this is going to not only resemble a soap opera but move into fairy tale territory. No one could have anticipated this turn of events? Why not? McCain is positioning himself to have a knockdown – drag out with Obama. The conservatives know they have to win so they disavow him publicly. It is the only strategy that makes sense.
What happens if the superdelegates vote Hillary in or she wins two states?
