ACT II
Hillary Clinton.
Will she have this same reaction to Al Qaeda. Imagine a scenario where she gets into a heated argument and Al Qaeda decides to show a video, will she use something stronger? If this is how she manages herself during a campaign can you imagine, I don’t care to, what her response would be to a military decision? Yes, Yes, I realize the joint Chiefs handle that, but one only has to look at the blank check given Bush and we do need to know if some one can have grace under fire.
This histrionic display indicates she clearly can not.
It isn’t about her being a woman, it is about her owning her own power. Her actions were petty not Presidential. Weak not tough. Knee-jerk not reasoned. She has been given the benefit of the doubt until now.
In all the years this writer has observed political speeches and campaigns , participated in them, never have I witnessed a presidential hopeful (no pun intended) display such an unbelievable lack of judgement and blatant desperation as has been displayed recently.
Can we say Howard Dean?
Not since Dean’s rallying cry that ended his very short presidential run has there been a more lackluster display from a potential leader of the free world.
The ridicule of Barack Obama’s style of speech making played well for her audience perhaps, but was decidedly unpresidential, unprofessional and unprecedented. Meant as a joke, one hopes, there that word is again, she seems to have resorted to the bottom of the barrel politics she has avoided since SC.
I would address the release of old photos of Obama dressed in ceremonial garb… but why?
Why.
It almost appears that she is grasping at straws, after all, Newsweek called for her to step down. Not an unusual request. It is for the heir apparent.
After 11 straight losses you would think any candidate would, but the play is only in Act II.
Pundits say it was too jump start a failing campaign.
No it was the brashness of a misguided campaign manager who somehow thought ridicule would boost her in the polls.
Possible. Yes.
If you have lived in America through the last few Presidential campaigns then you know things are never as they appear on the surface. Something is so wrong with this seemingly “desperate woman” routine. It appears things are about to get ….
Different.
When she is faced with Al Qaeda will she say” shame on you”?
Disappointing.
Don’t sleep.
